Restoring Voter Rights
We just received a grant from the Louisville Bar Foundation to educate and register voters who have had their voting rights taken away because of a felony conviction. We will be working with ABLE (Advocacy Based on Lived Experience), the Louisville Urban League and the NAACP at various events to help people regain their right to vote and register them. We need volunteers to serve on a committee to coordinate these efforts, become trained and table at these events. Spanish Citizen’s Guide
Volunteers needed-Spanish not required. We need a few members to help distribute our Spanish language Citizens Guides. These guides provide information on how to contact our elected officials. We recently had them printed in Spanish and would like to send them to organizations that have Spanish speaking participants. We need a few members to contact these organizations to determine if they would want them and then hopefully deliver them. tThis is something you can easily do from home. Please let the office know and we will send you a list. Also, if you know of any organizations that definitely want some, please let the office know.
