JCPS Board of Education Candidate Forums
The Louisville Urban League will host four School Board Candidate Forums this August. With the redistricting of Jefferson County, these forums are vital to attend.
District 1 August 18 6:00-8:00 pm Central High School. Candidates: Gail Strange; Amina Shale; Jody Hurt
District 2 August 19 6:00-8:00 pm WEB DuBois. Candidates: Alante’ J. Gaines, Robert Kahne, Lillian Brents, Tim Shaughnessy, and Phil Haming
District 3 August 20 6:00-8:00 PM Eastern High School. Candidates: Taylor Everett, Gay P. Adelmann, Neil Seftor, and Veda Pendleton
District 4 August 25 6:00-8:00 PM Fern Creek High School. Candidates: Kimberly Ann Vinegar, Trevin Bass, Dr. Michelle E. Patrick, and Deja B. Jacks

We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation in the Louisville Metro area. We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.
We are part of the League of Women Voters of the United States founded in 1920 with roots in the women’s suffrage movement.
As a non-profit, nonpartisan organization, the League does not support or oppose candidates or political parties. LWV Louisville is fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in principle and in practice.
